The village has a public school which is very active and involved in its local community. Stokers Siding is well-known for its long-established pottery and gallery business, housed in an historic 1921 building. Also synonymous with the village is the Stokers Siding Garage an Australia-wide Volkswagen icon which is not only a working mechanical repair business but a veritable Volkswagen museum.
